Canoo

May 2023 – Aug 2023

Software Engineer Intern

  • Developed a Flask application emulating the Canoo Vehicle Infotainment System to streamline testing processes across diverse teams without requiring physical hardware.
  • Leveraged AWS IoT SDK and MQTT protocol for vehicle management within the application and, ensured feature robustness through comprehensive unit tests authored using Pytest.
  • Spearheaded the software's cloud deployment, leveraging CI/CD pipeline tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, JenkinsFile), thereby enhancing deployment efficiency.

Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd.

November 2021 - Present

Senior Engineer, Linux Telephony Software team

  • Promoted to Senior Engineer as a result of my excellent contributions and enhancements in Android Telephony and other embedded platforms.
July 2020 - Oct 2021

Engineer, Linux Telephony Software team

  • Switched to Linux Telephony SW team from Modem Systems Test team and worked on different features for decreasing the battery usage while enhancing application performance on ThreadX RTOS and LE(Linux Embedded) platforms in C/C++.
  • As part of this worked on PSM(Power Saving Mode) functionality in Tx and LE platforms supporting features such as AP only boot, narrow-band IoT features on PSM etc.
  • Had widespread impact with customers such as BMW, LG, QuecTel, Telit, u-blox, and SIMCOM using these features.
  • Refactored and modularized the existing QCRIL architecture and implemented advanced 5G features in Android Telephony framework in Java, well before competitors could implement it and thus provided an edge to Qualcomm to market the chipset to OEM's.
November 2019 - June 2020

Engineer, Modem Systems Test Team

  • Promoted to Engineer within a year for leading multiple critical features.
  • Collaborated with different teams such as firmware, Systems etc to successfully provide Low Power LNA and DTR features to customers on time on premium tier chipsets.
July 2018 - October 2019

Associate Engineer, Modem Systems Test Team

  • Developed Post processing scripts for automatic log analysis in python which reduced a significant manual effort.
  • Found out more than 60 issues in LTE Phy layer within a short span of time which helped in improving the modem throughput performance on different PL's.
May 2017 - July 2017

Summer Internship

  • Worked on Automation of VoWifi scenarios testing for faster testing of VoWifi calls.
  • Acquired significant knowledge of telecommunication technologies such as GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA/HSPA+, LTE, different versions of Wi-Fi protocols, VoLTE and VoWiFi.

High-Performance Computing Lab, IIT Roorkee CSE Department

May 2016 – July 2016

Research Intern

Project:Ant Colony Optimization in Wireless Sensor Networks for Energy Efficient Routing.

  • Explored swarm intelligence and metaheuristic algorithms to develop and implement an algorithm for energy-efficient routing of temperature data from sensory motes in WSNs.
  • A modified version of ACO was developed and implemented and was compared with traditional routing algorithms.
  • Presented my research and development at International Conference on Soft Computing: Theories and Applications (SOCTA 2016) held at Amity University, Rajasthan.
